AVAILABLE IN PETROL AND ELECTRIC, THE new NISSAN TOWNSTAR FOURGON L2

Nissan is expanding its range of vehicles reserved for professionals. The Japanese manufacturer unveils the Townstar Van L2, a new compact utility vehicle. This model is available in a petrol engine, but also with an electric motor.

After the Combi MPV model, the Nissan Townstar is available in a new version intended for professionals. Called Van L2, this variant of the Townstar is launched with an electric motor, but also with a petrol engine. It is a small van that aims to appeal to fleets of small or medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as well as public services.

4.91 meters long, this new Nissan Townstar Van L2 has a wider side door than the Van L1. It gains 22 centimeters to measure 83.1 centimeters wide. The loading length of the Townstar Van L2 reaches 3.55 meters, with a pivoting partition and the front passenger seat folded down.

The Nissan Townstar is now available to order in France, from €22,900 excl. VAT in a panel van or €28,380 incl. VAT in a Combi. This close cousin of the Renault Kangoo is marketed in gasoline (130 hp) and electric (122 hp) with three possible finishes, quite well equipped.

[Updated 05/09/2022] Nissan launches the Townstar on the French market. This small van based on the new Renault Kangoo, offered as a panel utility vehicle as well as a family Combi, is available in a much smaller range than its French "cousin", since it chooses the 130 hp 1.3 l TCe four-cylinder petrol engine as single combustion engine. The vehicle skips the 100 hp TCe and the 95 and 115 hp Blue dCi diesels, while diesel remains popular in this segment. Like its cousin, it now receives a 122 hp electric motor with 245 Nm of torque. Note that the Townstar has to do without the "Open Sesame" side door without a central pillar, which Renault jealously guards, and is currently only offered in the short L1H1 variant (4.49 m long, 1 .87 m high).
